Our Principles

Since many years we breed Chihuahuas out of excellent US and some British lines. We specialise in smooth coats and  breed on a limited basis only. So we have very few puppies each year. I strongly believe in American lines because I know them since years. Much to our regret there are very few breeders that work with  American lines so far. Some of our favourite lines are: Dartan, Pittore, Jo-El´s HandJ, Hurds and McCormick´s where some of the finest lines are combined, just to mention a few.

We aim at breeding healthy and sound Chihuahuas of excellent type. In addition they must have a great personality. Our Chihuahuas love people because they are part of our family.

We went to dog shows on a very limited basis only because we hate to leave our dogs alone and always have to try and find a dog-sitter if we leave for longer distances. Mostly our daughter Evelyn will look after the dogs..

Our puppies are growing up with us and will be socialised from the very beginning. We select for an excellent personality of the sire and dam and our furkids normally do not have any problems and quickly adjust to their new homes.

They do not leave before they are 12 weeks old. By then they have received their second immunisation (SHLP) and have been dewormed and tattoed. All puppies are accompanied by a certified  CKD/VDH/FCI pedigree and will be sold only with a contract stating that in case the new owner has to part with the dog we have first priority to get it back.

Occasionally we do have older dogs to place into a good home. Since we give our dogs all they need please try to understand that we want the best for our pups and older dogs after they leave us as well. This means that prospective buyers will have to answer our questions as well and convince us that they will take good care of their dog. We expect this of pet owners as well as breeders.

Occasionally we get E-mail requests about puppies, but mainly from Germany, without a name. We are not willing to reply to anonymous requests and feel that anyone interested in our dogs should at least have the courtesy to state their names. Otherwise please don´t expect a reply.

We are convinced that a Chihuahua is not a breed that should be left alone the whole day. Chihuahuas need their people around. Although it is ok to leave them alone for a while. This of course applies to all dogs but Chihuahuas in particular. They get along very well with another Chihuahua which should be of the same sex unless you want to breed or they are spayed/neutered. So if they are left by themselves for a while why not have 2 of them and they will keep each other company.

Before you think about getting  a dog it is extremely important to get information about the breed and to look up several breeders if possible before making a final decision.
